Cross-Tab appoints Dr. Russ Winer, a marketing thought leader, to its Board of Advisors
Cross-Tab Marketing Services, a leading offshore provider of market research and analytics services to the Global MR industry, announces today that it has appointed Dr. Russ Winer to its Global Advisory Board.

Dr. Winer will be joining the board from the 1st of September 2007 and will be based in New York. Dr. Winer will guide Cross-Tab in developing its marketing sciences practice for its worldwide clientele. His engagement will strengthen Cross-Tab's efforts to build out its offerings in data analytics and consulting, as part of its strategy to move up the value chain to offer higher value added services to existing and new clients. His presence will complement Cross-Tab’s existing advisor, Simon Chadwick, who guides the company on business and corporate strategy.

Dr. Winer is a global marketing thought leader and has written several books including - Marketing Management, Analysis for Marketing Planning, Product Management, Pricing, The Marketing Experience: Principles of Marketing; and has authored more than 60 papers on a variety of topics including consumer choice, marketing research methodology, marketing planning, advertising, and pricing. He is an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Research in Marketing and co-editor of Review of Marketing Science. He is on the editorial boards of the Journal of Marketing, the Journal of Marketing Research, Marketing Science, Journal of Interactive Marketing, and Journal of Consumer Research. He is serving a 2-year term as the Executive Director of the Marketing Science Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Dr. Winer is the William H. Joyce Professor of Marketing at the Stern School of Business, New York University. He received a B.A. in Economics from Union College (NY) and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Industrial Administration from Carnegie Mellon University. He has been on the faculties of Columbia and Vanderbilt universities and the University of California at Berkeley. He has been a visiting faculty member at M.I.T., Stanford University, New York University, Cranfield School of Management (U.K.), the Helsinki School of Economics, the University of Tokyo, and École Nationale des Ponts et Chausées. He has consulted to various business organizations including New York Telephone Company, American Airlines-Freight Marketing, National Particleboard Association, Long Island Lighting Company, Ogilvy and Mather, Dancer-Fitzgerald-Sample, Martin Marietta, Executive Programs-Columbia University, First American Bank, Kidder Peabody, Perkin-Elmer Applied Biosystems Division, and ATX Technologies. He is currently on the board of R.A.B. Food Group, The Fall Collection, and a number of startup companies.
