Study Type: Multi-product, multi-country tracking study – survey scripting and fielding

Client: Fortune 100 client

Nature of the project: A quarterly Brand Health Track Study (across 16 countries)

What we did: Cross-Tab is responsible for the survey scripting and fielding of this large-scale, multi-language, multi-country project

Translation of survey into 13 different languages
Scripting of the 16 individual surveys
Fielding of the survey in all the different markets. Sending out mailers, collecting and storing responses, quota management and mailing of reminders.

How did this help the client: This entire module allows the client to concentrate on their core business instead of the operational aspects of programming the survey. Besides the obvious benefit of savings of above 50% over their earlier spending, the client gets more time to analyze and interpret the results while the experienced Cross-Tab team takes care of the rest.


Global Online Data Collection

Study Type: International online panel management

Client: A global information provider and consultancy firm

Nature of the project: Usage and attitude study on Internet portals amongst Internet users across 12 countries

What we did: Cross-Tab was responsible for data collection in Korea, Belgium & Italy. Cross-Tab worked with network partners in these countries for conducting the research. Apart from overall coordination, Cross-Tab also interacted with network partners on translation work.

How did this help the client: Cross-Tab was given only a week for data collection for each country. Cross-Tab delivered results in 5 days assuring that client met their overall deadline.

CATI

Study Type: International data collection using CATI services

Client: A top-3 ISP, USA

Nature of the project: The Client wanted to contact cancelled subscribers in the U.S. to ascertain reasons for termination. Client provided customer database.

What we did: A team of call agents was recruited from within our partner's team for the project. The agents underwent an extensive briefing & training session, which included a detailed brief on the objectives of the study, accent training and pilot calls.

Cross-Tab was responsible for programming the survey, contacting the respondents and obtaining feedback through a 15-minute Interview with 2 open-ends.

How did this help the client: The client was able to cut down the data collection costs by over 45%!

Data Processing

Study type: Omnibus study

Client: One of the World's Top 10 survey-based research firms

Nature of the project: Ad-hoc data processing work

What we did: Cross-Tab provided data processing and analytical support at a time when their DP department was working under tremendous pressure towards the release of the Omnibus study

How did this help the client: Our ability to mobilize and allocate resources at short notice, against a client's urgent requirement, helped in the timely release of the study

What we did: We conducted statistical analysis in 2 areas:

Designing the product offering using Conjoint analysis and
Evaluating the optimal price option using van Westendorp Price Sensitivity model

Nature of the project: Handling of huge transaction database and providing analytical insights for actionable strategies

What we did: Data processing for statistical analysis and data mining algorithms carried out using SAS, SPSS and Clementine (Data Mining software from SPSS Inc)

How did this help the client: Client was able to identify the loyal/profitable group of customers and was also successful in increasing customer's bill value using service bundling

Reports & Presentations

Project type: Continuous project with tracking studies as well as ad-hoc studies

Client: A US based Top 50 Research Agency

Nature of the project: The client needed support for preparing presentations for tracking studies as well as for ad-hoc studies

What we did: The Client Team and the Cross-Tab team jointly laid down a standards document for the outsourcing of this activity as well as a comprehensive chart library. The Cross-Tab research and presentation team is briefed on the projects, and receives all the required inputs from the client. The team prepares the presentations as per client specifications and adds basic inferences from the data on the slides.

How did this help the client: The client receives ready-to-use presentations. They just have to add their recommendations and they are ready to present to their end clients. The researchers are highly satisfied as they are able to focus more on consultative and analysis activities. Cost and overheads are substantially reduced. The overall turnaround time is optimized as the Cross-Tab team works during Indian Standard time, while it is night time in the US.
